Christmastime in the City

There is something undeniably beautiful about Christmastime in New York City.

IMG_1733It seems the whole city shifts from high gear to low, and its blinding neon glare slowly fades to cheery shimmers of red and green.

IMG_1724From hurried businesspeople to families struggling to make end’s meet,

IMG_1741it’s almost as if all of New York takes a moment out of climbing their life’s ladder, and stops to appreciate just how far they’ve come.

IMG_1782For even just a second, scarves and stocking hats become cozy, not a hassle.

IMG_1804Sparkling window displays and always-lit trees pop up in places where once there was nothing.

IMG_1817Baking projects and a homemade chocolate-almond butter cups become social activities of choice.

IMG_1823And no small gesture passes unappreciated.

IMG_1794I exhale,

IMG_1705take this snapshot of a peaceful city in,

IMG_1793and, packed bags in hand, board a plane to a place with an unmatched peace: home.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
